Start with whichever page catches your child’s eye. Put the crayons within reach, keep the answer guide for yourself, and let a short activity grow into a story, a pattern or a picture to save.
Your snow-day setup
- The free Winter Activity Pack, printed on US Letter or A4 paper
- Crayons or colored pencils and a pencil for the maze
- A flat table or clipboard
- Optional: a scrap sheet underneath for markers
Choose the PDF that matches your paper. Print from the file; if the preview clips an edge, use “fit to printable area.”
Give the snowman a snowy day
Start with the snowman, bird and broom on page 1. Color the picture, then use the open box below to draw what happens next.
- Add falling snow, a little house or a friend.
- Try a story prompt: “Where is the bird going?”
Keep it playful: A few marks or a whole scene both count. Your child can decide when the drawing is finished.
Guide the penguin to its igloo
On page 2, begin beside the penguin at START. Follow the open path through the maze to the igloo at FINISH.
- Try the route with a finger before using a pencil.
- Turn a wrong turn into a chance to try another path.
Need a hint?: The grown-up guide on page 5 shows the route in orange.
Count, mark and color
Page 3 mixes snowmen, penguins and winter hats. Count each kind, write the total beside its picture at the bottom, then color the grid.
- Point to each picture as you count it.
- Use a different color for each kind, or let every picture have its own colors.
For the grown-up: The answers are four snowmen, three penguins and five hats.
Trace a shape, then make it yours
Follow the dotted snowflakes, mittens and cocoa mugs on page 4. Add stripes, dots or colors once the outlines are finished.
- Start with whichever shape your child likes.
- Choose just one row for a short coloring break.
Keep a favorite for the next snow day
Save the unused sheets and put the crayons beside them. For a single picture, try the free snowman coloring page or browse the Winter coloring pages.
The separate Cute & Snowy Winter Coloring Book has 44 designs to explore. This five-page activity pack is free to use on its own.
